Jahlil Okafor has made the All-City team, and this is certainly an honor that was to be expected.

“Jahlil is a young man that came in [to high school] with great expectations and he has lived up to the hype,” said Whitney Young coach Tyrone Slaughter to the Chicago Sun Times. “Coming into high school he was rated No. 6 in his class and now he is No. 1 because he did not rest and continued to work hard.”

For more about Okafor and the remarkable season he has had because of all the hard work, then be sure to check out the full piece below. He will be taking his talents to Durham, where the rest of the ACC will be put on notice.

The matchup this post-season between Okafor and forward Cliff Alexander will be the one to keep an eye on, and this year should not be the last time that these two battle for honors. One more Prep piece is one the way today, and then we will have to see what kind of pro b-ball content that the muse brings to the table. It is a pleasure as always to serve and whenever Okafor and Alexander match up you can bet will be offering an opinion on the result just for you.
