Jahlil Okafor was one of three players who were named as finalists for the Naismith player of the year award, and the other two were Cliff Alexander and Stanley Johnson. Much thanks to Jerry Meyer for the alert, and he has even included his individual and composite rankings in the tweet below.

Okafor committed to the Duke Blue Devils along with Tyus Jones back in November, and it seems like yesterday even though that was months ago.
“I think it has gone really well,” Jones said about his final high school season to USAB.com. “We still have some work to do and some things to finish, but it’s gone really well. I wouldn’t have wanted it to go any other way than how it has. I think my team is playing well and we are just looking forward to coming down the home stretch now, with playoffs about to start. We are looking accomplish the main goal, which is winning another state title.”
That is certainly a reachable goal for both Jones and Okafor, so we will have to keep an eye on both of them during the postseason. All for Prep today, but be sure to keep an eye out for a lot more slideshows as we get down the line. Thanks as always and will leave a bit of fortune cookie wisdom to light the path.
