Kansas Jayhawks Commit Cliff Alexander Could Climb in Recruiting Rankings After Win Over Whitney Young
Cliff Alexander recently helped Curie (IL) overcome Jahlil Okafor and Whitney Young in the CPS title game, which was a thrilling affair that went to four overtimes. Much thanks to CSN for replaying the game the other day, and they tweeted about the matchup as well below.

Okafor fouled out of the game before any of the overtimes happen, and if these two teams meet again in the sectional playoffs would expect the center to show a bit better judgement. It was probably quite painful to have to watch all the overtimes from the bench, but those are the type of lessons that can stick with you over time. These two teams are my favorites to take home the state title this season, and their next matchup could determine who ends up getting there.
Alexander is committed to the Kansas Jayhawks, and it would not surprise me to see him rise in the recruiting rankings after this latest win. He will be a force in Big 12 play though, and if he plays Okafor any time next season then it should be must watch television. One more Prep piece is in the oven for you, and then be sure to check out tonight’s slideshow as well, because it almost made me throw the computer at the wall.
