Feel like I have to preface this article by just putting it out front that it is not likely that the Chicago Bulls will draft Jahlil Okafor. That does not mean it is not fun to think about though, and quite glad the CSN Chicago slipped that question into the interview below. The whole thing is worth checking out though, especially considering the obstacles Okafor is facing in the next couple months. The next matchup with Cliff Alexander will certainly be a key one to keep an eye on as we go forward.

Okafor is probably the odd on favorite to be the number one pick in the 2015 draft, and other players in that conversation include Cliff Alexander, Jabari Parker (if he stays in school), and Emmanuel Mudiay.
Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah would certainly appreciate the help if Okafor were drafted, but the Bulls will likely not have a bad enough record to merit a player like the Whitney Young center.
Will be looking forward to seeing Okafor’s work at the McDonald’s All American game practices, and will keep all of you posted on what I see there. Thanks as always for stopping by Rant Sports Prep, and keep an eye out later for a piece on Alexander’s upside.
