Kansas Jayhawks Commit Cliff Alexander’s Season Ends in Turmoil
Cliff Alexander probably had no hint of how his season was going to end after winning the CPS title recently, but he was probably better of in blissful ignorance. Curie (IL) had a couple starters who could not play at the start of the playoffs due to academic issues, and the Condors also had to forfeit their CPS title and all their regular season games. So Alexander’s senior season is (according to the book) winless, which is not something I could have fathomed about a week ago.
Alexander did his best in their recent playoff opener, but ultimately his squad did not have enough talent left after the departures. Much thanks to Jon Greenberg for writing the piece below, which sums the situation up quite well.
Undermanned Curie loses in playoff opener. Cliff Alexander's prep career is over. My column from King: http://t.co/zaFzx8wrpW

Alexander will one day play basketball for Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks, so let us hope that the talented big man will look at this moment as a blip on the radar. It probably does not feel that way at the moment though, but ultimately it could be an experience that Alexander uses as motivational fuel in the future.
One more Prep piece is in the barrel tonight, and also keep an eye out for a slideshow about who Anthony Davis might be playing with one day. Thanks as always, and stay chill out there Chi-town. Just because the weather is cold, that doesn’t mean we got to be cold to each other too,.
