Duke Blue Devils commit Jahlil Okafor was named Parade’s player of the year, and it would not surprise me to see the center collect a couple more of these before season is over.

Much thanks to the user for tweeting this below, and we will have to see if Okafor is named the Gatorade player of the year.

Okafor was a package recruiting deal with one of the top point guards in the class, Tyus Jones, and the two should make the Blue Devils must-watch television next season. They have certainly done a fantastic recruiting job in the last couple years, and it would not surprise me to see them rewarded with a title as a result. Justise Winslow is a player who is greatly underrated in their class, and though he lacks the flash of Okafor or Jones, he is the type of glue-guy that you need to be a serious contender.

The starting five will be a tough decision for the Blue Devils coaching staff; that much is certain. The only thing left up in the air is how high the expectations are going to be once next season tips off.

If Jabari Parker stays? then this thing is about to go to a whole different level, and you might as well plany a television crew permanently in Durham. If Parker stays, then that is how intense things will get next seasonOne more Prep piece is one the way, and it concerns the Arizona Wildcats and one of their incoming recruits. Thanks as always.
