Kansas Jayhawks Commit Cliff Alexander Officially Receives Naismith POY Trophy
Kansas Jayhawks commit Cliff Alexander got some nice hardware yesterday, and I noticed thanks to the Naismith Trophy’s twitter feed.

This is probably some much needed good news for Alexander, because Curie’s season ended after their first playoff game. It was not Alexander’s fault; the squad was missing a couple starters due to academic issues, and it was just bad timing. The talented forward will be joining the Kansas Jayhawks next season, which came as great news to head coach Bill Self and not so good news to fans of the Big Ten. The hat prank was ill advised, and it will be good for Alexander to get away from some of the his high school teammates who encouraged that particular stunt. He got absolutely ripped apart on twitter afteward though, and I just think people forget how young these players are. Hate does not usually ever create anything, so just take it easy on these players on twitter.
Anyways, congratulations again to Alexander on a fantastic senior season, and we all look forward to seeing him play in Lawrence. Here is hoping that the Jayhawks are in next season’s Champions Class, but unfortunately that event is in Indy next season. Not hating on Indy at all, but it just makes covering the event a bit more difficult. All for Prep today, but I will leave you with some fortune cookie wisdom as always.
