Power forward Cliff Alexander seems to be using all means possible to try and lure center Myles Turner to join him on the Kansas Jayhawks. I certainly cannot blame Alexander for trying. He has been through his fair share of trials and tribulations in his last season at Curie (IL), and something tells me he might be trying to wipe the taste out of his mouth a little bit.

I have written here in the past that Turner will be choosing mainly between the Jayhawks and the Texas Longhorns. However, the SMU Mustangs could make a late push. It would take some convincing from Emmanuel Mudiay and Larry Brown, but it would be the recruiting coup of the decade if they were able to pull it off. If I had a gun to my head, then I would still go with the Jayhawks. But stranger things have also happened when it comes to recruiting, so I am not ruling anything out at this point.
In the meantime, that silence you can hear is a few hundred thousand Jayhawk fans holding their breath until April 18th. All for Prep today, but until tomorrow comes, keep your ears to the grindstone.
