Uncommitted Center Myles Turner Will Make His Decision By April 30th
Myles Turner is the top ranked player in the 2014 college basketball recruiting, and it seems that he will finally come to a decision on where he will attend school. We will have to just wait and see where he ends up, but my prediction has been the Kansas Jayhawks for some time. The Texas Longhorns will probably get some heavy consideration as well, but in the end I think they will just miss out. It is probably for the best, because we do not need to see another star like Kevin Durant get bounced because of Rick Barnes’ poor coaching.
It should be super interesting to see if the recent news that Jabari Parker will enter the Draft will affect Turner’s decision at all, but something tells me that he does not want to to have to share minutes at center with Jahlil Okafor. That is just a gut feeling, but if Turner ends up committing to the Duke Blue Devils then we know how much my gut is worth.
Turner should make his decision by April 30th, which also happens to be my birthday. I’m sure that is the main reason that Turner is making his choice on that day, and for that I truly thank him.
That last sentence was a joke for any deadpan humorists out there. One more Prep piece is on the way today, and then also keep an eye out for an article about why Taj Gibson should most definitely be this season’s Sixth Man of the Year.
