Devonte Graham has had a pretty rocky college basketball career so far, but he could be in for a renaissance if the point guard comes to play next season. He recently decided to play for the Kansas Jayhawks, and it was mainly because of a recent opening at the point guard position.
“I think that was part of it,” Graham told ESPN on Friday. “He was a big part of their program and played a lot. If he had stayed, I’m not sure if I would be going to Kansas.”
The Jayhawks have won the Big 12 for what seems like the last decade, and I do not expect it to change next season.
Much thanks to the ever brilliant Jeff Goodman for his update on this, and be sure to keep an eye on how the Jayhawks start off next year and also how many minutes Graham gets off the bat. He was also considering the NC State Wolfpack, but Bill Self’s squad ended up coming out on top.

Graham will have a lot of weapons at his disposal if he ends up winning the starting point guard position. Cliff Alexander comes to mind in particular, and do not come to Rant Sports Prep all surprised if the the former Curie (IL) superstar ends up leading the Big 12 in rebounding. You heard it here first.
