Kansas Jayhawks Commit Cliff Alexander’s Dad Shows He Can Still Throw Down
Well, we certainly see where Cliff Alexander got all of his talent from. Video surfaced recently of Alexander’s father throwing down a couple dunks, and my favorite part of it is Stanley Johnson’s reaction.

This video is pretty sweet, and if I could still dunk the ball at that age, then you can bet that I would be bragging about it a lot more.
Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention that the elder Alexander threw down theses dunks while still wearing sun glasses, which puts him at a whole different Blues Brothers kind of level. I’m also pretty sure that he did not even stretch before going airborne.
Kansas Jayhawk fans should get used to the sight of the younger Alexander throwing down monster slam dunks after grabbing rebounds, because the big man did quite a lot of that at Curie (IL) last season. Cliff clearly inherited some of his father’s tenacity around the rim, and it is that quality which should have him make first team all conference next season.
Freshman of the year will probably be in order as well, and it would not surprise me to see the Jayhawks win the conference in a landslide yet again.
Bill Self is obviously restocking the talent cupboard’s next fall, and maybe he should see if Alexander’s dad has any interest in making a return to school.
