Jayson Tatum is one of the most promising young high school players in the country, and some of the top college coaches in the country have started to take notice.
“A few days before the first session of EYBL,” wrote Jayson Tatum on his USA TODAY Sports blog. “Coach K came out to my school to watch me workout. That was real cool because it was my first time actually meeting him. He told me how impressed he was with me and how he hopes he gets a chance to coach me in college. It’s crazy because, as a kid, I didn’t really think I’d be good enough to go to Duke.”
He also got a visit from the Illinois Illini, and it will be interesting to hear if the young player is leaning in either direction in the coming weeks.
“Coach (John) Groce came to my school recently too and that was a really good visit too,” Tatum wrote. “I always have a good time talking to him and Coach Jamal (Walker); they’ve been there ever since the beginning.”
That might end up making the difference in Tatum’s recruitment, but to decide for yourself be sure to check out the piece by Jason Jordan.

All for Prep today, and we will have to see if the Duke Blue Devils can get a commitment from Tatum in the near future.
