Small forward Stanley Johnson should be one of the steadying forces on Team USA’s U-18 squad this summer, and it will also help to have his future head coach as one of the assistants on the team. Head coach Sean Miller and Johnson should really hit the ground running in the Pac 12 next season as a result, so Arizona Wildcats fans should expect them to win the conference after building some nice chemistry.

Those young players should have quite a lot of fun this summer, and I am quite jealous of what they will get to experience. Much thanks to @APlayersProgram for tweeting about the training camp, and we will have to see who ends up making the squad.

Johnson is one of three high school seniors headed to the camp who each have two gold medals playing internationally for USA Basketball. He is one as well as point guard Tyus Jones and Justise Winslow, and those three will form the backbone of this team.

Thanks for reading today. It has been one full of tragedy in the Virginia area, and my heart goes out to Zach Arnold’s family as well as any involved in the hot air balloon accident. Sorry to end on a somber note, but it has just been that kind of a weekend. Love each other out there.
