The Clemson Tigers have been building something up over the last few years, and they could be on the cusp of putting themselves in national title contention.
They are recruiting like they want to win the whole thing and not just the ACC, which is quite commendable on their part. Losing Sammy Watkins will be tough to replace without a doubt, and we will just have to see how their passing game fares in his absence.
Their 2015 recruiting class is the third best in the country according to Rivals, which is their highest ranking in over ten years. The Tigers have 15 prospects who are verbally committed, and they are working on many more four star recruits in the next few months.
We will have to see what they can do over the course of the summer, but their 2015 recruiting class is shaping up to be one of their best yet. They could enter the fall in the top ten at the very least.
Some of the notables that they are currently working on include four star lineman Zach Bailey, defensive lineman Albert Huggins, and wide receiver Deon Cain. We are still waiting to hear where those prospects end up committing to, but we can be sure that they will all end up at quality programs.
Head coach Dabo Swinney has built a team that is designed to last, and it would not shock me to see him hoist a national title in the near future.
