Harry Giles III is one of the top recruits in the 2016 college basketball recruiting class, and it was quite nice to see that he returned from his ACL tear at the recent EYBL Hampton event. Giles is one the best talents in the country, and any school in the country would be fortunate to have him. This recap about Giles’ return from hoopsintel.com summed up quite well how Giles should slowly work his way back into form.
“As expected, the CP3 forward wasn’t the most confident at times in going inside and struggled to hold his ground defensively against stronger opponents,” wrote Corey Evans of HoopsIntel. “However, you can just tell that it is only going to be a matter of time before the big time talent explodes onto the scene again. Giles made plays in spurts that had you scratching your head as to how a guy his size and of his youth can facilitate and complete.”
Giles is being pursued by all of the top programs in the country, and the Carolina native stuffed the stat sheet with eight points, 10 boards and three steals. You can bet that a team like the North Carolina Tar Heels could use a player like Giles to get them back into title contention.
Elite 2016 recruit Harry Giles tells me: “I’m playing this weekend.” Will be with Team CP3 at EYBL Hampton.

Giles’ injury occurred in June while the 6-foot-10 forward was playing with USA Basketball, and he is the second best player in the Class of 2016 according to Rivals. Here is hoping that he can stay healthy through the coming season, because it would be a true joy to watch him at the college level one day.
