The Florida State Seminoles were able to leverage their success on the field last season into a stellar 2014 college football recruiting class. They added talent on both sides of the ball, and they have a top five class in the country according to ESPN, Rivals and Scout. These are the main reasons that Jimbo Fisher was able to make magic happen.

Commits Erman Lane (6-foot-3, 200 pounds) and Travis Rudolph (6-foot-2, 190 pounds) are highly rated by all recruiting outlets, and they have blazing speed combined with amazing field awareness. It is going to be fun to watch Jameis Winston throw the ball to these two, because they will open up quite a lot of the field. Both five star wide receivers should give Jimbo Fisher plenty of options within the offense.

It certainly does not hurt when your quarterback recently took home the most presitigious individual award in college football. We all saw what happened with the Texas A&M Aggies recruiting after Johnny Football, and I do not think that the Seminoles' rise will be much different.

The Heisman trophy and the national championship sometimes go hand-in-hand, but not always. It was the case last season, and it has resulted in FSU's best recruiting class in quite a long time. Fisher will continue to have success with Winston at QB this year; we all know that they will probably be aiming at a repeat.

2. Quarterback Strength

It is obviously nice to have a player like Winston throwing the ball for you; however, some folks forget that the Seminoles also had Jacob Coker sitting on the bench for them last season. He has since transferred to Alabama, but FSU has plenty of quarterback talent sitting in the wings. J.J. Cosentino was the only signal-caller in the 2014 class, and he has a rocket arm.

Dalvin Cook, the five star running back and Florida's 2013 Mr. Football award winner, will be a stud for the Seminoles, and it should be fun to see how much playing time he gets off of the bat. Jimbo Fisher has called this one of his most "complete" recruiting classes, and in the end I would expect them to win another conference title.
