College football fans are in a frenzy right now, because the season is almost upon us. The usual suspects all have the best recruiting classes coming into town this fall, and this slideshow will pay particular attention to the 2015 class as it stands so far. You can bet that Nick Saban's crew will make an appearance, but there might be a few in here that surprise you as well.

The South Carolina Gamecocks have proven to be fighters in the SEC conference, and it should not be a surprise. Steve Spurrier has always (except for with the Washington Redskins) been a fierce competitor, and he has stepped up his recruiting with the 2015 class. They have eight 4-star commits so far, and they are in the mix for a couple more.

4. The Texas A&M Aggies

The Aggies have eight 4-star recruits already committed, and SEC fans will get to see their talent before too long. It is mainly the talent on the offensive side of the ball that I am excited about, because Johnny Manziel has carved out a niche for those type of commits in the last couple years. Quarterback Kyler Murray headlines this class.

This slide goes out to all the Clemson Tiger fans who have been waiting for a truly elite recruiting class. Dabo Swinney's squad has one of the best classes in 2015, and they are actually the second best in the nation according to Rivals. Their five-star commit is OL Mitch Hyatt (6-foot-5, 258 pounds), and he is joined by quite a few other four star commits as well. The Tigers will be able to move the ball in 2015.

2. Penn State Nittany Lions

I certainly did not think that Penn State would be able to bounce back from the Joe Paterno scandal as quickly as they did, but I am also quite happy for their loyal fans. The students of that school were not involved in all of the controversy, and that is why it is quite nice to see the Nittany Lions rake in a top five class in 2015 so far.

You probably knew this one was coming, and it has been a familiar theme throughout the last few years. They are at the top of the totem pole; that should come as no surprise, and it is mainly because of all the blue chip prospects that have already committed. They have the most 5-star verbal commitments of any program so far, and Nick Saban will have plenty to work with in the next couple seasons.
