Wide receiver is sometimes looked down upon as a diva position, but we do not view it that way here at Rant Sports Prep. This slideshow will look at some of the top receivers in the 2015 college football recruiting class, and most of them are uncommitted. Some of the top programs in the country have also landed a couple of these commits as well. You might be surprised by which prospects are mentioned, and so you should check out my five picks.

The 5-foot-10, 190 pound receiver may not look like a physical force on the field, but right when you think it, then that is the moment he burns you on a fade route for a touchdown. Christian Kirk's speed is not a skill you can teach, and he will make a school in a major college football conference quite happy. My pick will be the Texas A&M Aggies, but it would also not shock me if the USC Trojans utilized their West Coast advantage.

4. Calvin Ridley- Alabama

Calvin Ridley has a combination of speed and leaping ability that cannot be taught. The wideout from Monarch High School (FL) is committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide, and he will make Nick Saban a happy man in 2015. He will probably not get playing time right away, but something tells me that Ridley will be fine in the long run. His measurements (6-foot-1, 189) are ideal for his age.

3. George Campbell- Uncommitted

George Campbell has great size (6-foot-3, 195 pounds), and he will be a force of nature wherever he ends up. He is currently uncommitted, but the Florida Gators should be the runaway favorite. The Clemson Tigers always are in the mix for these skills players as well. Dabo Swinney just seems to have a way with the young wide receivers. Ask Sammy Watkins.

2. Tyron Johnson- Uncommitted

The 6-foot-1, 191 pound receiver is one of the best talents to come out of Louisiana in some time. The Texas A&M Aggies made an early push for the 5-star talent, but it appears like the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the LSU Tigers will be the two schools that it comes down to. The Oregon Ducks will try to make a fall push, and it will not be enough.

1. Da'Vante Phillips- Uncommittted

I put Da'Vante Phillips at the top of this list due to the schools he is considering. He has not committed yet, but he looks like a lock for the Florida State Seminoles. The Miami Hurricanes and Alabama Crimson Tide loom as threats, but it might be too little too late. Could the speedy 6-foot-1, 197 pound wide receiver from Miami Central High School (FL) make the ultimate difference for the Seminoles? I think so.
