Loaded Recruiting Class Will Make Duke Blue Devils Top Contenders in 2014-2015 Season
The Duke Blue Devils have had many fantastic recruiting classes in the last few decades, and that tends to happen when you have a leader with the most wins in college basketball’s history. Head coach Mike Krzyzewski may have one of the most misspelled names in the game, but he has brought true class to the profession. As a result, the Blue Devils are welcoming a truly strong recruiting class to Durham next season.
Where do I even start?
Jahlil Okafor is not a bad place to begin; the top-ranked player in the country according to most outlets capped off his high school career with a state title and he followed his former AAU teammate, Jabari Parker, to the Blue Devils. Of course, we all know that Parker will be playing in the pros this season, and it would not shock me to see Okafor spend a similarly brief amount of time in college.
Tyus Jones is another player that Blue Devil fans should be excited about, because I anticipate him being the top point guard at the college level next season. That is especially true after Emmanuel Mudiay‘s decision to play overseas.
Jones and Okafor will be the head of the snake, but fans in Durham should be equally excited to see the play of Grayson Allen and Justise Winslow. All this young talent should make the Blue Devils contenders going into the 2014-2015 season. John Calipari‘s loaded crew out in Lexington might have something to say about that, but ultimately Tobacco Road will own the spotlight next year.
