These kids didn’t come here to play school, they came here to play basketball (thanks for that one, Cardale Jones). So, let them play some basketball. Although the one-and-done rule applies at the college level, let’s not waste anyone’s time. Let these uber talented players skip the line and go straight to the NBA.

College scouts already know who they are going after long before a prospect reaches his senior year in high school. If the college scouts know these types of things, then surely NBA scouts got the same memo. So what if a high school player won’t make it in the NBA on Day 1. Throw that way-too-talented athlete in the D-League and watch him actually develop his NBA game … on Day 1.

Kobe Bryant didn’t go to college. That one dude named LeBron James didn’t go to college. Superman himself (Dwight Howard) surely didn’t play college ball. These three individuals — who are not alone — skipped out on college and turned out to be amazing. College isn’t for everyone, so why force it on everyone?

Some players just have it. Like the three players listed above. James could have come out of middle school and he would have still been a star in the pros. Although that is a bit extreme, we all knew he was something special. Lo and behold, James is the best player in the NBA (arguably of all time if you want to take that route).

Remember that one guy who led his team to a high school championship two years in a row? Who cares. Although I may be holding onto my high school glory days still, top-end talents don’t have to do that crap, because they are going to end up in the big leagues when they are actually allowed to declare for the big leagues (aka the draft).

There is one thing that everyone loves. That one thing is without a doubt money. People who say money can’t buy happiness are either already rich (they don’t know what life is without money), or are mistakenly incorrect. If these super talents want to make some money sooner rather than later (lord knows the NCAA doesn’t allow such a thing), then let them make some dollar bills sooner rather than later, yo.
