I have been blessed with a full field of vision, but I would never vault over a bar that sits at least one story above the ground. I just don’t have the guts. I am not as brave as Texas teenager Charlotte Brown.

Brown may be rendered blind by cataracts, but she doesn’t lack vision. According to Yahoo! Sports, Brown set a goal to reach the podium and last weekend she cleared that bar. Only two other competitors were able to top Brown’s mark of 11-foot-6, which resulted in Brown earning a bronze medal at the Texas state track and field meet.
