A quarterback on the freshman football team at West Salem High School in Salem, Oregon has received a three-day suspension for inappropriately touching his center while receiving a snap. Here’s the quarterback, Garrett Moore, describing what happened that day during practice:

He said the center instructed him to take the snap farther forward in his stance than he had with other centers.

“He wanted me to go way up there and it felt very uncomfortable,” Moore said. “I was, like, moving my hands and I touched him and he started laughing. I guess I tickled him. I wouldn’t mean to. That’s kind of weird.”

Moore referred to the center as a bully who kneed him in the crotch and pushed him down during that same practice. Four days later, Moore was called into the principal’s office and after conversations between the principal and both boys, Moore was given the suspension.

The school will not comment on the situation, but Moore’s mother will appeal the suspension.
