High School Pitcher Records Out After Catching Ricochet of Wild Pitch and Tagging Runner Out at Home

By Jason Fletcher

Typically, if you’re a runner on third and you see a wild pitch go to the backstop, you have a pretty good chance to score.

But what if the backstop’s really hard, and the pitch bounces up in the air, and right into the pitcher’s glove who’s waiting at home plate?

Then, you would be out.
