Sycho Sid was just the latest legend to return to the WWE in their buildup to the 100th episode of Monday Night Raw. He came out and wrestled Heath Slater and ended up winning a squash match. It was his first appearance on Raw since 1997.
Sycho Sid was a great wrestler back in his day, but that day was long ago. I doubt that most of the kids in attendance had any idea who he was, but it is fun to see legends come back. I think that Slater is going to get the biggest boost from this because he wrestles legends on a weekly basis now. Not a bad caree rub.
Sycho Sid certainly looked like he was still in wrestling shape. He even let Slater get a few blows in before finishing him off. It is a great to see past people come in and still be able to wrestle a couple matches. That is what makes this fun. You are exposing past stars to the present generation.
There are still a few weeks before the 100th episode of Raw, so more superstars will be returning to the company. That is not a bad thing at all. In fact, I hope they bring out some stars that people do not really remember. There are some legends that almost get too much exposure. Sid was a perfect choice, because a lot of people probably forgot that he was even around anymore.
