Just a few hours ago, Magnus from TNA Impact Wrestling, just sent out the following tweet.

Exactly. Magnus and Samoa Joe have won the GHC/Pro-Wrestling NOAH World Tag Team Champions as they defeated Jun Akiyama and Akitoshiop Saito at Great Voyage 2o12 in Ryogoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Their match was a part of a 10 match card, which shared the likes of Marshall and Ross Von Erich, along with WWE Alums Super Crazy and Tajiri.

This will not be the first time when talent from TNA Wrestling are holding on to international titles from another wrestling organization, as the Motor City Machine Guns captured the IWGP World Tag Team Championships and brought them over to the states, which were dropped to Team 3D (Devon and Brother Ray), which were eventually dropped back in Japan.

This would not be Samoa Joe’s first time holding the tag team championships as he has held the TNA tag belts on two occasions. One of them occasions being with Magnus, which was recent. But this victory will indeed add on to the very long list of titles that Joe has achieved in his career.

Similar to Joe, this will be Magnus’s 2nd time holding tag team gold while in TNA as well. As he held the TNA World Tag Team Championship with  Doug Williams and obviously Samoa Joe.

This is an impressive achievement that was attained by the two, as now they have created some more television time and story-lines for the two. This will be very interesting to see how things unfold.
