WWE Rumors are always flying all over the internet, and The Undertaker is usually a popular name that comes up. The Dead Man only works a couple dates a year these days, usually of course Wrestlemania, and most recently on the 1000th episode of Monday Night Raw. His appearance on Raw would seem to indicate that Taker will indeed return for another defense of his coveted Streak at this year’s Mania.
Well some of the latest buzz has the Dead Man making an appearance sooner than his normal time in the spring.
The Undertaker is rumored to be wrestling a match at this year’s Survivor Series pay-per-view.
Survivor Series certainly isn’t what it once was, but I suppose you could still consider it part of WWE‘s “big four.” Also it shouldn’t be forgotten that Taker debuted at the Survivor Series 1990. This may have nothing to do with anything, but none the less there’s a historical connection…
So who to face the Dead Man at WWE’s fall classic?
I say it should be none other than Brock Lesnar. Everybody knows the history between these two. Rumors of a match have swirled ever since their confrontation following Lesnar’s loss to Cain Velasquez and UFC 121.

Lesnar is not only the most logical opponent for Taker, he’s the opponent that will draw the most money with him. It’s a match two years in the making that people will want to see.
I don’t know if the beef between these two is real, I don’t care if it isn’t. It’s a marquee match, that will draw money for a PPV that desperately needs it. This match will put Survivor Series right back on the map as one of the big events for WWE…
Of course there will be concerns over whether Lesnar will have enough dates left on his contract to “waste” before Wrestlemania; and obviously if Taker will even want to do a match?
The bottom line is that this match needs to happen at Survivor Series. No real wrestling fan wants to see these two at Mania, because there’s no way Lesnar beats Taker, it’s just not going to happen. WWE needs to use this match between Summerslam and Wrestlemania, to maximize profits, keep things interesting, use Lesnar while they have him… do I have to go on?
