Zeus: From No Holds Barred To Possibly Behind Bars.

Former WWF talent and star of the popular WWF 80′s film, “No Holds Barred”, Tiny “Zeus” Lister has pleaded guilty to federal mortgage fraud charges and could possibly face 5 years in prison.

The details revolving around Zeus’s charges as to what lead him to this situation are pretty unclear, but unfortunately it seems to follow a sad trend of various Hollywood stars from that era who are facing strong legal issues right now.

The last time we saw Zeus was on the big screen for Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight”, where Zeus played one of the prison inmates who were on a boat and that was back in 2008.

Zeus came onto the scene in the World Wrestling Federation in 1989 after No Holds Barred premiered in the movie theaters in June of 1989. Vince McMahon decided to capitalize on its popularity and brings in Zeus, whom is Hulk Hogan’s rival in the movie, into the World Wrestling Federation to do a cross over angle.

Hogan was the WWF Champion after defeating Macho Man Randy Savage at Wrestlemania 5 for the title. Hogan and Savage already had a strong rivalry with each other and bringing Zeus into the mix to partner with Savage to go against Hulk was the perfect storm for wrestling fans.

At Summer Slam 89, Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake tag teamed to face Macho Man Randy Savage and Zeus. Hogan and Beefcake were victorious. Zeus would return to WWF pay per view in November at the 1989 WWF Survivor Series. Hulk Hogan, Jake Roberts, & Demolition Ax & Smash (The Hulkamaniacs) beat Ted DiBiase, Zeus, & The Powers of Pain (The Million Dollar Team) in an elimination” match. Hogan was the survivor.

Zeus was also a house hold name due to his role as “Debo” in the movie, “Friday”, with Ice Cube and Chris Tucker. There is supposed to be a Friday 4, no word if Zeus will be able to be part of filming, before he serves his possible prison time.
