Is Randy Orton Ready To Reclimb To The Top Of The Mountain?

As of today, it has been 407 days since “The Viper” Randy Orton has held WWE gold. Orton dropped the title to The World Strongest Man Mark Henry, last year at the 2011 WWE Night of Champions. Since then, Orton has played a very low supporting role on WWE television since then, being involved in some mid card story angles. One involving him to be off television for a significant amount of time and another time where he was suspended for his 2nd drug offense. Since his return in late July/early august, Orton has been on a bit of a roll lately.

Orton defeated Dolph Ziggler at the 2012 Night of Champions. Orton defeated Alberto Del Rio at WWE Hell In A Cell. And on the 10/29/2012 edition of Monday Night Raw, Orton put a cap on the rivalry between himself and Wade Barrett as he finished him off with the win. So now for the next few weeks, Orton will be busy with the build up for Survivor Series as it was announced that he will be on “Team Foley” taking on “Team Punk” in a traditional survivor series match.

After The Survivor Series, the WWE will be begin to lay the ground works for the road to Wrestlemania, wouldn’t it be appropriate to involve Orton in a program right now? Now, I’m not exactly sure if Orton is involved in some damage control due to his actions from earlier in the year, but its seems time for one more title run with him. Orton and Big Show at Wrestlemania would be a solid match up, but I still stand behind the fact that Ziggler will cash it in on Orton, if he were to win the world title. If this is the case, this opens much opportunity for a Orton and Ziggler Program to be realistic. Only time will tell.
