CM Punk’s year-long reign as the WWE Champion may come to an end soon at Survivor Series. The two men he has yet to beat cleanly will face off to steal the title off him in just three week’s time.

As announced on RAW, CM Punk will no longer be competing in a traditional Survivor Series match No, he will be putting the title on the line in a triple threat match against John Cena and Ryback.

Although CM Punk beat Cena for the WWE Championship last year at Money in the Bank 2011, he has yet to beat the 10-time champion in 2012. CM Punk managed to hold on to the title in a triple threat match at SummerSlam, but his match against John Cena at Night of Champions ended in a draw. Cena never received a rematch that he deserved because he had to undergo surgery.

His other opponent is the monster named Ryback. Ryback was undefeated in the WWE until last month at Hell in a Cell when CM Punk cheated his way to victory thanks to the referee hitting Ryback below the belt. Ryback is now looking for revenge and is not going to be happy to see CM Punk parading around with the WWE Title much longer.

The WWE has been building up CM Punk to be one of its premiere stars for the past 18 months. He’s already in the top 10 list of longest reigning WWE Champions of all time and it’s unlikely he will lose the title so easily in a match like this. Although, it’s hard to see either Cena or Ryback losing so easily in a match like this too.

Personally, I think CM Punk will win this match and keep the title for two months longer to go on to face The Rock at the Royal Rumble. The WWE will want to make sure people want to see The Rock facing off against a credible opponent and the only way to do this is by having CM Punk keep the title.
