Is It Possible That Survivor Series Will Give Us A New FACE For The Miz?
Isn’t there something very familiar about this year’s “Traditional” Survivor Series main event? Am I the only one that is noticing the slight taste of Deja Vu that is occurring this Sunday? Are we on the bring on the inevitable? The one element that we have all been asking about and wondering? Could this Sunday be the night where we see The Miz turn face?
Now, you are probably wondering, “what do you mean of familiarity?” Lets take a flashback to the 2003 WWE Survivor Series. One of the main event matches (the curtain jerker for that manner) “Hardcore Holly, Chris Benoit, John Cena, Kurt Angle, & Bradshaw vs Brock Lesnar, The Big Show, Matt Morgan, Nathan Jones & A-Train”. A very large match. But what people forget is that John Cena was actually a heel in this match and this would be his final push over onto the other side. Cena’s last match as a heel was on Smackdown before The Survivor Series, when he faced Rey Mysterio in a one on one match. Cena was on a meteoric popularity rise. He was the heel that everyone loved, since he was a “cool heel”. But he was on the face team, which made him a wild card. But that Sunday, there was nothing left to question as Cena went on to being a face and skyrocketing his career.
Notice the pattern? Miz is a heel on Team Foley at the Survivor Series. He has been gaining a great deal of popularity lately. Raw could’ve been his last official heel stint as he had himself added to the ballot for Team Foley. And word on the street is that Miz is that “next guy” for the company.
This is why I have always been a fan of this PPV, the possibilities of unpredictable circumstance is immeasurable.
