Ryback has revealed in a new interview with ESPN.com about who he would like to face at WrestleMania next year. His choice was none other than to go up against The Undertaker.
Here’s what he said during the interview:
“That’s easy. One of my goals, and I don’t know how many more he has in him, so we need this to happen soon, and that’s Undertaker. He’s the one man who is undefeated at Wrestlemania, and he’s somebody who I’ve had in my mind for a long, long time. I would love to be able to step into the ring The Dead Man and to be able to scream “Feed me more!” in his face would be quite the honor.”
This could be a really good match for the WWE to sell if they are confident in Ryback going up against The Undertaker so early in his career. Ryback has not lost (cleanly) yet and facing Undertaker at WrestleMania 29 might be his first true challenge. It’s unlikely he will break Undertaker’s undefeated winning streak, but it will be an entertaining match to see.
As of right now, WWE plans for him to face Big Show instead. They want him to execute his finishing move on Big Show to create what could be a very memorable WrestleMania moment.
Some fans are wanting him to face Brock Lesnar too. This might be unlikely at this stage as Triple H wants his rematch against Lesnar at WrestleMania 29.
Plans always change in the crazy world of the WWE though. Nobody could have predicted the knee surgery that CM Punk needed which basically cancelled the company’s plans for the TLC PPV…
