During the holiday season everyone is working a little bit harder to come across some extra money so this way we can make sure we have enough to buy our wives that diamond necklace, and our son the G.I. Joe with the Kung Fu Grip. But this ideology does not escape everyone, as the common denominator for us all is cash. And cash is not ruled out in need of the family of Nancy Daus, but as we all know her, Nancy Benoit.
It was reported early today by the Associated Press that the U.S. Supreme Court will not reinstate a monetary ruling against Hustler Magazine regarding some nude photos that were published of Nancy Benoit after she was murdered by her husband Chris Benoit.
The family of Nancy Benoit requested a revisit to the ruling to reinstate a jury’s decision to make Hustler Magazine pay them almost $20 million. The decision was reduced to $250,000 later and then it was thrown out by the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. When the family did try to have the court reinstate the ruling, the court decided against it ans once again threw it out.
Hustler, in their defense, said that they did published the photos, that were taken many years ago, when Nancy was in her glory days as a valet in wrestling, due to the fact that they were newsworthy while Nancy’s family was arguing that they never gave any permission to the magazine to publish them.
As everyone remembers during that time it seems as if everyone was trying to cash in during that time regarding their connection with Benoit and how pro wrestling was responsible for the death.
