If we were to rewind the clocks back to 2011, Zack Ryder’s WWE career was on the rise. Suddenly, his push was halted and his 2012 wasn’t so good. Can Ryder get pushed yet again in 2013?

Ryder’s 2011 was a great year for him. Although he was booked to be a jobber for the first half of the year, it was his famous Youtube video series that made WWE officials take notice of him. His Youtube series garnered lots of loyal fans and subscribers and even gave the company some more free publicity.

Because of the success of the show, Ryder was given a push and was turned into a babyface. He won the “United States Championship” at the TLC PPV and capped off 2011 on a very high note.

Things started to suddenly change again for Ryder for some reason. Some fans thought he “sold out” when his Youtube videos started to appear only on WWE’s official channel instead of his own one. Not to mention the company started to heavily edit his videos that the content wasn’t as entertaining as they used to be.

2012 was not a good year for Ryder has his United States title run was abruptly cut short and he was relegated to “jobber” status once again. Even Ryder himself knows this and tweeted: “No reason for me to watch the ball drop tonight…I lived through the ball being dropped with me all year.”

Can 2013 be a better year for Ryder? He’s been pushing for a match against Dolph Ziggler at WrestleMania 29 for the “Internet Championship” for close to a year now. Or maybe Ryder can become a heel again to refresh his character? In either case, he will be wishing that 2013 is a better year form him than 2012…
