John Cena knows how to make a lasting impression to close out the year 2012. As mentioned during this past Monday Night Raw, John Cena is going to be a participant in the 2013 WWE Royal Rumble. This will be Cena’s first return to the Royal Rumble Match since Royal Rumble 2011, the first 40 man Royal Rumble, making it the largest in history, where Alberto Del Rio won. With Cena being the first one announced to be in the 30 man melee, many fans are picking him to be the odds-on favorite to reign supreme as the winner of the 2013 Royal Rumble.

Cena winning the Rumble would be the odds on pick since the initial pathway to Wrestlemania is painting the high possibility of it being John Cena vs The Rock at Wrestlemnaia 29 for the WWE Championship. The Rock is facing CM Punk at the Rumble for the WWE Championship and many are expecting for The Rock to win the World Title, giving him one more title reign for his career. Last year, Cena and the Rock closed out Wrestlemania 28 in Miami gave a blockbuster match, which was deemed as one of the best matches of the year. Even though the match was tagged with “Once in a Lifetime” as the subtitle of the main event, the WWE may be looking to cash in on that blockbuster match one more time.

John Cena is no stranger to being a Royal Rumble winner as he won the match back in 2008, only to lose to both Randy Orton and Triple H in the triple threat championship match at Wrestlemania 24 in Orlando. John Cena has won just about every accomplishment in the WWE from multiple World titles, US championship, Tag Championship and Slammy Awards. But to have the chance to win the Royal Rumble and go on to win the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania may just be the pinnacle.
