Did we (as fans) miss what may’ve been the biggest main event in the modern era of professional wrestling, according to WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan? Or is Hogan being Hogan and working all of us like normal? Well, while Hogan has been away from the in ring action, he has been more than familiar with the battles inside of a courtroom, and this story is no exception. According to TMZ.com, Hulk Hogan filed a 50 Million dollar lawsuit against the Laser Spine Institute of Florida. The reason for the lawsuit is that Hogan states that the doctors created a ruse for him to undergo multiple unnecessary surgeries to work on his back, in 2009. According to Hogan and his attorney, the amount of surgeries done did more damage than harm to Hogan.

However, this is not being triggered by any sort of ailments that is haunting Hogan currently  but more so a major missed opportunity  Once again according to Hogan and his attorneys, Hogan had a contract in place where Hulk Hogan would face off against John Cena in a blow out, career ending match for Hogan. However, due to the series of surgeries  this was unable to occur and obviously the match never happened.

There isn’t any tangible evidence that illustrate where the $50 Million comes from, but according to the team, this match would’ve been that lucrative. Which is left to a lot of interpretation and not necessarily guaranteeing that $50 million would’ve been an appropriate figure for Hogan. Personally, I have to ask, when and where this match would’ve taken place, since at this time, Hogan was no longer in contract with the WWE, and there would’ve been no way in the world that John Cena could’ve participated in the Hogan and Friends tour. It will be interesting to see where this goes, my guess the “thrown out of court” opponent will win via submission.
