Bully Ray is currently the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. No doubt he deserved to win the belt, but has it been good for business?

TNA is now on the road and taking their live shows outside of Orlando, Florida. They are now taping Impact wrestling TV shows in more areas in the United States and are even going to London, England. The fact that the company is now going “on tour” means more people have the opportunity to see their favorite wrestlers in person.

The reason TNA has done this in the first place is to increase its growing fan base. This means that TV ratings should have increased as well now that more people know of TNA’s existence.

Sadly though, the ratings for Impact have been the lowest they’ve been in several months. This might be because viewers aren’t liking Ray as champion and that his Aces & Eights stable is getting all of the exposure.

The Aces & Eights storyline started back in mid-2012 and was intriguing at the time. Many fans were hooked to the story and wanted to know who these guys were. Unfortunately, fans started to get impatient because the storyline lasted for several months before anything actually happened. Not to mention, once members of the group were revealed, fans were disappointed by the end result.

It took a whole nine months until it was revealed that Ray was the leader of the group all along. By that time, everyone already tuned out and didn’t care. To this day, the storyline is still ongoing since Ray is now champion and taking over TNA as we speak.

It looks like fans are sick of seeing Ray and the rest of Aces & Eights each week. All they do every week is beat up the same group of guys and mock how incompetent Hulk Hogan is as General Manager.

TNA needs to take the storyline in a new direction to make it more interesting and hopefully gain more viewers instead of decreasing them.
