Ever since The Rock made his comeback to the WWE back in 2011, he was greeted with open arms by most company officials. Now, the relationship between the two parties have not been as strong as it was two years ago.

It all started with the match The Rock had with John Cena at WrestleMania 29. Before the match, Rock was the WWE Champion and was trying his best to promote both WrestleMania 29 and his upcoming movies. It appeared as if he was 100% committed to both types of work.

It wasn’t until the night after Raw that things started to go slightly downhill. Rock got injured during the match and decided to fly back home to his own doctor to get checked up. This prompted WWE to rewrite that night’s Raw episode in a hurry since he did not tell anyone until 3pm that very day.

Rock has even teased that WrestleMania 29 was his last match as he was unsure if he’ll return for WrestleMania XXX. Not to mention, some WWE wrestlers don’t like the fact that he comes in and hogs all of the limelight whenever he decides to comeback and wrestle.

Despite some criticism towards The Rock, Vince McMahon, himself, still likes the amount of publicity The Rock brings to the company thanks to his Hollywood fame. McMahon is confident that The Rock will wrestle one more time at WrestleMania XXX. He is also hoping The Rock will at least appear at October’s Hell in a Cell PPV. This is because the event is being held in Rock’s hometown of Miami, Florida.

It’s unlikely WWE wants to upset The Rock in any way since he’s is the biggest star the wrestling industry has ever seen. Still, The Rock is going to turn 41 years old this May and it’s unlikely he can wrestle and film movies simultaneously for much longer.
