“Perhaps Time Tebow will show up and do a “run in” as he’s looking for work. Perhaps trying WWE would be a nice fit for Tebow who would undoubtedly be an antagonist in today’s defiant world. Of course, I jest regarding Tebow in WWE but stranger things have happened.”
Even though this is just a tiny indicator, it still should not be ruled out since as he said “stranger things have happened.” Since Tebow has been released by the Jets and has yet to sign with any NFL team, he certainly does have more time on his hands currently, than he would have if he were under contract somewhere.
Vince McMahon has always been one to not be afraid of injecting some sort of media darling attention getter to get additional publicity for the WWE product. Even though Tebow had much criticism on him due to his shortcomings at the quarterback position, he is still seen as an enigmatic figure in the NFL drawing a very unique and large following. Tebow’s name is a perfect match for the WWE when it comes to his protagonist ways and likeability factor.
If there is one WWE superstar that can relate with Tim Tebow it would be the current WWE champion John Cena. Both athletes have a devoted following that is dedicated to them and both have fans of their respected product that take a strong disliking to them as well. If Tebow were to make a WWE appearance, a big event such as SummerSlam, WrestleMania or a special edition of Raw would likely be for him. Even though this is all speculation and nothing official, one thing is true that we have learned from the WWE: never say never.
