One of the most anticipated encounters for this year’s Extreme Rules PPV is the steel-cage match between Triple H and Brock Lesnar. Lesnar is one person that needs to win this more than Triple H does.

When Lesnar came back to the WWE last year after retiring from MMA, it was seen as a big deal as he came back as a bigger star than he was back when he left in 2004. You could say he was the second biggest WWE star to come back after The Rock did the same thing in 2011.

Upon his arrival, many people assumed he would dominate the company the same way he did back in 2002. This wasn’t to be the case because Lesnar only signed to wrestle part-time since he hates all of the travelling that is required from full-time wrestlers.

WWE immediately booked Lesnar against John Cena in a huge match at last year’s Extreme Rules PPV. To everyone’s surprise, Lesnar lost the match clean and was not seen again until four months later.

Lesnar’s next opponent for the next nine months or so was Triple H. Lesnar soundly defeated Triple H at SummerSlam while Triple H got the win just recently at WrestleMania 29.

Their upcoming match at Extreme Rules is expected to be their last one. Lesnar should win the final match because he will lose a lot of momentum if he’s to be defeated again. Triple H doesn’t need a victory since he’s already a backstage employee for the company and his wrestling days are numbered. Lesnar needs the win more to make him look more imposing if he’s to face The Rock at WrestleMania XXX.

Not to mention, Lesnar’s only won one match out of three since he came back last year. He will look like a glorified jobber if he’s to add that tally to three losses and only one victory.
