A few weeks ago, Dixie Carter made the big announcement that Kurt Angle will be in the TNA Hall of Fame. Angle himself is looking to the future and wants to be in another Hall of Fame too.
Angle confirmed on his Twitter page that he’s going to be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame. He also noted he’s already been inducted into National Wrestling Hall of Fame for amateur wrestling back in 2001. He achieved this by becoming both a World Champion and earning an Olympic Gold Medal too.
The other thing Angle emphasized is that he wants to be in the WWE Hall of Fame too. Angle left WWE back in 2006 and has wrestled for TNA ever since, which was much easier on his body because TNA wrestlers have more time off. This was a blessing for Angle as his body wasn’t able to handle WWE’s grueling schedule. Not to mention, he kept taking painkillers to ease the pain for his neck while in WWE.
There’s no doubt Angle deserves to be in the WWE Hall of Fame, although he’s not going to achieve this while he’s still in TNA. He mentioned that he’s likely to retire soon, and it’s highly possible he will join WWE for one last time before retiring from professional wrestling for good.
Personally, I’d like to see him wrestle in the WWE for at least another year or two. It would be good to see him go up against the likes of CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. He could also have epic rematches with Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker too.
