Brock Lesnar Attacks CM Punk On WWE Raw
The seeds for an epic main event has already happened. Brock Lesnar attacked CM Punk this week on Raw. This will obviously set up a mega match between the two stars, possibly at this year’s SummerSlam PPV.
This will be an exciting match to see considering it’s an encounter we have never seen before. Lesnar left the WWE back in 2004, while Punk didn’t make his debut in the company until 2006. They have never really interacted with one another until this week.
This also confirms the rumor that Punk is turning into a babyface. Not only is Punk a babyface now, but even Dolph Ziggler too.
In my opinion, Punk ran his course as a heel and it’s refreshing to see him be a good guy again. The reason why Lesnar attacked Punk remains a mystery, but it’s likely to involve Paul Heyman. Lesnar is the original “Heyman guy”, so it would have upset Lesnar when Heyman started hanging out with Punk.
It’s great to see that the WWE is pulling the trigger on a feud between these two stars. Last year, the company was hesitant to make Punk fight Lesnar because they felt it would look “unrealistic”. This didn’t make much sense considering Rey Mysterio faced up against Kane multiple times over the years and beat him too.
Luckily, someone in WWE realized this and decided to let these two feud after all. I, for one, cannot wait to see what will happen next.
