WWE has now announced one of the two Money in the Bank matches that will be in the PPV of the same name. There is a strong possibility that Daniel Bryan is the favorite to win.
The participants in the WWE Title Money in the Bank match include Bryan, CM Punk, Sheamus, Randy Orton, Christian, Kane and Rob Van Dam.
Looking at that list, Bryan is the most likely to win at this stage. This is because he’s been receiving a huge push from the company. They are trying to make Bryan a legitimate main event star by making him look strong each and every week. They don’t want fans to see him as a “weak link”.
Bryan’s push was solidified this week on Raw when he finally beat Orton in a fantastic match. This was what Bryan was supposed to do last week, but he got injured for real so Orton got the victory instead. It’s rumored Bryan could face John Cena for the WWE Title very soon.
My only problem with this Money in the Bank match is that all of the participants have been World Champions before. The concept of the match was originally designed to elevate new stars onto the main event scene. Bryan is pretty much the youngest person in the match and needs to win the most. Still, he tasted championship gold last year anyway.
I do like the additions of RVD and Christian though. Those two wrestlers are ladder match experts and could make the match more exciting.
