The likelihood for The Undertaker appearing and wrestling at this year’s SummerSlam looks slim.
This may come as very sad news for those who were expected to see him wrestle at the event. Undertaker looked pretty healthy during the beginning of the year when he squared off against CM Punk at WrestleMania 29.
Following WrestleMania 29, Undertaker wrestled a few more times during WWE‘s tour of Europe. He looked pretty darn good in those matches, and it seemed possible that he would be available to wrestle a few more times during the course of 2013.
Sadly, Undertaker got injured when The Shield put him through a table. He was supposed to get his “revenge” at SummerSlam, but his injuries were real, and now he’s not fit enough to wrestle at SummerSlam as originally planned.
Undertaker was to team up with Kane at SummerSlam to face The Shield and get revenge on the group. Now it seems like The Shield will be feuding with Mark Henry. Kane, on the other hand, is likely to be facing The Wyatt Family in some capacity since they “took him out” a few weeks ago.
Those who are attending SummerSlam shouldn’t feel too disappointed about Undertaker’s absence. The two main events look very mouthwatering. We’ve got John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE Title and Brock Lesnar vs. Punk.
Hopefully Undertaker can recover from his injuries so that he can wrestle at WrestleMania XXX. The man is nearing 50 years old, so his wrestling days are numbered.
