If WWE Wants Real Drama, Stephanie McMahon Needs To Leave Triple H For John Cena

God help the WWE. Yes, Vince McMahon is a genius. He’s the greatest wrestling promoter of all time, and one of the most important and influential personalities in television history. Triple H has an incredible mind. The billion-dollar princess Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley is not only beautiful, she’s smart and athletic.

The three of them are fantastic, unparalleled performers.

That’s why I expect better. With the exception of the amazing Stone Cold Steve Austin-McMahon angle, it just doesn’t work when McMahon builds the main storyline around himself and his family like he is doing now.

We have seen it over and over and over again. McMahons vs. John Cena. McMahons vs. Mick Foley. McMahons for The Rock. McMahons vs. Hornswoggle.

The McMahons as center of the universe just doesn’t work anymore. If the McMahons want a fresh storyline that revolves around them, there’s only one direction to go: Stephanie needs to leave Triple-H for a younger man.

All of this “McMahon family against the world” storyline just doesn’t move people. Daniel Bryan doesn’t need to feud with the McMahons. He was incredibly over and should have won the WWE title for longer than three minutes. Instead, Bryan is playing the fool in the larger McMahon family storyline.

If McMahon wants to be cutting edge, he should book Stephanie to leave Triple H, her real-life and storyline husband, for a younger man, ideally John Cena.

That storyline would make much more sense. Yes, it would be bold. It would be risky. It would be somewhat tacky. But that’s exactly what the patriarch McMahon is great at. He loves to offend people. It’s a perfect time to do the storyline. Cena is recuperating for his elbow injury. Stephanie can say that she flew to Boston to protect her investment and that “things happened.”

It’s also true that Cena is dating Nikki Bella in real life, but who cares. The WWE can get out of that storyline as soon as the WWE Total Divas! show wraps up.

If the McMahons want real heat, real drama, real soap opera controversy, the McMahon family needs stop worrying about Bryan and make some real waves with Stephanie dumping Triple H for Cena.

This could lead to a revival of Triple H’s career and culminate in a main event match at WrestleMania 30 between the two for the WWE title. Cena can win the title back and Triple H can make up with Stephanie to end a sizzling run of taboo booking.

If the McMahons insist on being the center of the storylines, let’s have some fun and blow the roof off the dome.
