The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels needs to return at WrestleMania XXX.
It doesn’t really matter how he does it, or who he wrestles. The show is shaping up to be the biggest of all-time and HBK will regret not doing it, if he passes up the opportunity.
Yes, he made a commitment to The Undertaker, but let’s get real, this is wrestling. It doesn’t really matter if Michaels goes back on his promise. It’s not like Michaels is going to jump to TNA and wrestle Kurt Angle for one more match.
The WWE is HBK’s home and he deserves to be wrestling on the biggest stage of them. The Undertaker would understand, and if he doesn’t, too bad.
The saddest part of HBK’s early retirement is that the fans are the ones who really lose. Michaels put on classic matches several times a year. He retired as the WWE’s top in-ring performer.
WWE Pay-Per-Views just aren’t the same with Michaels. Yes, you can count on good matches on the card, but the guy who used to blow away everyone else on the card is not hunting geese for a living.
Michaels could return and wrestle just about anybody. A match with CM Punk would tear the house down. Even a rematch with the Undertaker would be worth watching.
It’s just not enough to see Michaels return as a guest referee or in someone’s corner. Michaels makes music inside the ring and he should be wrestling a few times a year just to entertain the fans. He reminds everybody why wrestling is great in the first place.
