John Cena already has plans to defend his World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX.

Cena wants to make the World Heavyweight Championship look more prestigious. He feels over the past few years, the title has become the secondary championship. This is true as the belt and its champions have never been in the main event for a PPV since 2011. Cena hopes that with him being champion, the belt will be more important and the feuds he will be booked in will be of more interest to the fans.

I would agree with him because the World Heavyweight Championship started to become an afterthought as of late. Even at past WrestleMania events, the belt was booked as the first match on the card. Fans just have to remember the infamous 18-second match between Daniel Bryan and Sheamus to realize how irrelevant the belt has become over the years.

If Cena does remain champion until WrestleMania XXX, I wonder who he would face? He’s faced The Rock at WrestleMania 28 and 29. I don’t think there’s anyone bigger that he could face unless it’s The Undertaker or even Hulk Hogan. Undertaker might be unlikely because he wants to face Brock Lesnar, while Hogan might just be wishful thinking. Not to mention, Hogan is over 60 years old now.

Another thing to note is that Cena is now a 14-time World Champion. Two more times and he will catch up to Ric Flair‘s record of being a 16-time World Champion. Cena is only 36 years old, so it’s very likely he’ll beat Flair’s record.
