WWE Survivor Series Main Event Disappoints
One has to wonder why WWE booked this main event for Survivor Series in 2013.
Many fans predicted that Big Show vs. Randy Orton wouldn’t deliver, and they were right. The match these two had was nothing special. These two have faced each other many times before, and those matches were average at best. I still don’t know why WWE decided to make this the main event for Survivor Series in 2013.
When Big Show came out, the reception was lukewarm at best. It seemed as if the fans didn’t even care about Big Show or Orton. Big Show was supposed to be the babyface, yet fans didn’t care one bit. As for Orton, he didn’t get much of a reception either.
The worst part of the match was when Orton had Big Show in a headlock. The fans were chanting “boring” really loudly. These fans knew they were getting a Raw quality match and they wanted something better. The fans even started chanting “Daniel Bryan” during the match too.
The conclusion of the match was predicable. The Authority came out and distracted Big Show, which allowed Orton to hit the RKO. Orton then ended the match with a punt kick to secure the victory. It was a predictable outcome with wrestlers that fans are no longer interested in.
Orton’s next opponent for the WWE Title is rumored to be Mark Henry. It will be interesting to see if fans cheer for Henry or remain quiet like they did with Big Show …
