Possible WWE WrestleMania XXX Storylines

Over the last month, the WWE Universe has been taken on a wild and confusing ride by the company.

First, there was the emergence of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon as heels who joined forces with Randy Orton. Orton’s role was to be the “face” of the WWE. All of that started with a major feud between Daniel Bryan and Orton, which eventually led to pretty much nothing. Bryan’s role in the company changed and he was thrown into a tag-team with CM Punk,  who call themselves “The Best and the Beard”.

Orton was then assigned to feud with Big Show, another storyline that went dry very quick. Now, Orton is set to battle John Cena at TLC in a title unification match. A feud of this caliber will most likely be reused for a few more PPVs instead of the WWE moving on as quickly as they did with Bryan and Show.

I feel like no one knows where any of this is leading — not even the WWE themselves. This Orton-Cena feud isn’t all that great and should not carry over to WrestleMania XXX. I honestly hope it’s done with before the Royal Rumble.

Speaking of the Rumble, since there’s going to be only one main championship belt in the picture, that’d mean whoever wins the Rumble will get a shot at it. Usually the winner would have a choice, and they’d choose the Heavyweight Championship most of the time so the WWE could have more options with the WWE Championship.

Since that’ll be the case, we can narrow down Cena or Orton’s possible opponents. Let’s be honest here, we all know it’s going to be Cena who gets to main event WrestleMania.

Since his opponent will have to enter the Rumble, it’ll likely someone who’s in good enough shape to earn their shot. So, we can eliminate Hulk Hogan even if he does come back. My best guess would be Brock Lesnar. He deserves to hold the gold at least once more, and this is a perfect opportunity for him to do so.

Lesnar is locked in for WM30. I know a lot of people of hoping to see Cena take on the Undertaker, but I get the feeling that won’t be this year. The super-match between Undertaker and Cena should eventually happen, so don’t get too discouraged.

The Undertaker had given rematches to both HBK and HHH after their first opportunities to end the steak. This could be a sign of a rematch with CM Punk, who Taker battled last year in a classic match. If they do decide to do a rematch, there has to be a major change this time. What could that change be?

It could be a  heel turn for the Undertaker. He’s recently defended the streak as a face. It’d be cool to see him take a turn; giving Punk a chance to highlight WrestleMania as a face. If nothing happens between Punk and Undertaker, Brock should take a crack at ending the streak.

The WWE will have to have big plans for Daniel Bryan, the Shield and the Wyatt Family. That doesn’t mean they all have to be involved in the same match, but their roles should be important. It looks as if the WWE is currently building up some momentum for the two teams. All of this should come down to them facing off at WrestleMania. That will be easiest way to get the most out of both teams.

Bryan’s situation will be a little more complicated. I honestly think it’s time he takes a turn to the dark side as well. He’s been a babyface for far too long. If he does take a turn, who would his opponent be? Why not give him another shot at a title-less Randy Orton? Or they could throw RVD in the mix if he returns.

There are plenty of options, and they should do well with Bryan’s role regardless of his opponent. No matter what happens over the next couple of months, the WWE will have something big come WrestleMania 30. Fans just have to put up with everything for a little longer. Be patient, WWE fans — WrestleMania season is almost here.
