The WWE fans voted and Daniel Bryan was chosen to win the Slammy Award for “Superstar of the Year”.

2013 was a huge year for Bryan as he finally broke through the ceiling to become one of the company’s most popular wrestlers. He started off the year as a tag-team champion, eventually capturing the WWE Title on two separate occasions. Not to mention, his “Yes” chants can be heard every week as fans yell it out loud and proud. Even when Bryan is not even wrestling, fans chant his name or say “Yes”.

Bryan being named the “Superstar of the Year” should be a clear sign that fans want to see him more. Sadly, the WWE doesn’t think he should be in the main events as his WWE Title reigns were very short. Instead, they decided to give the WWE Title back to Randy Orton. The biggest mistake that the WWE is making right now is making Orton face John Cena yet again while Bryan is stuck in a feud with the Wyatt Family.

It will be interesting to see what type of match Bryan gets at WrestleMania XXX. Many people want to see him facing CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Title, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. Another match fans want to see is Bryan vs. Shawn Michaels, although Michaels is retired. Bryan vs. Triple H might work, but I don’t think Triple H would be willing to lose to Bryan at WrestleMania XXX.

It’s likely Triple H would rather face Punk since he’s “bigger”.
