Should WWE Give Daniel Bryan A Proper Push?
Daniel Bryan may have been pushed to the main events earlier this year, but I think he deserves more.
Bryan’s biggest push came courtesy of John Cena, who handpicked him to be his SummerSlam opponent. Bryan and Cena are friends in real life, and it showed during their match at SummerSlam. Both men had good chemistry and had one of the best matches of the entire year. Not to mention Bryan pinned Cena cleanly to win the WWE Title off of him. The only sad part was that his WWE Title reigns never lasted very long.
Juts minutes after he beat Cena, Randy Orton cashed in his Money in the Bank opportunity and became the new WWE Champion. Bryan would go on to beat Orton for the WWE Title a month later, but his reign only lasted one day. This is because the referee did a fast count so Triple H stripped Bryan off of the title.
A few months after that, Orton is now the WWE Champion while Bryan is stuck in a feud with the Wyatt Family. No matter how popular Bryan is, the WWE won’t let him have a proper run as the WWE Champion. In my opinion, I feel Bryan’s big detractors are Triple H and Vince McMahon. Both guys prefer “larger than life” wrestlers so they will look down on the small physique of Bryan. No matter how loud the fans cheer, Triple H and Vince are the ones that run the company.
Hopefully in 2014, Bryan will have another chance of becoming WWE Champion. It might be harder for him to do so because by that time, there will only be one World Champion in the company depending on what happens at the end of the TLC PPV.
